Covey is powered by volunteers and open source, but there are fixed costs that are necessary to keep the platform secure and accessible.

What does the money go towards?

Your donations go directly to operating costs:

1. BankID fees -- Secure login and user verification involves transaction costs. This is our largest expense but critical to the app's function.
2. Hosting and infrastructure -- Servers, domain names and round-the-clock availability.
3. Codeberg and tools -- We support Codeberg as a platform and may need to pay for CI/CD services.
